OBJECTIVE

The Office of Medical Center Chief aims to:

• Lead and supervise the entire West Visayas State University Medical Center community of highly qualified and ethical medical professionals and support staff in the practice of medicine in its highest order, therby ensuring all patients the holistic healing and wellness.

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Direct, control and manage the overall administration of the different units of the West Visayas State University Medical Center in ensuring compliance to existing healthcare standards and policies.
• Analyze, develop, coordinate and implement programs, strategies and policies aimed at the practice of total quality healthcare and efficient Level 3 hospital operations.
• Assess, and develop annual work and financial plans on approved budget after due consultation with the different departments.
• Approve and implement circulars and memoranda necessary in the service and operations of the 300-bed, Level 3 tertiary, training and teaching hospital.
• Promote the development and potentials of medical and medical allied personnel through implementation of clinical trainings on approved healthcare approaches and professional growth boosting the morale and efficiency of the West Visayas State University Medical Center team.
