Education : Bachelor's degree relevant to the job
Training : 16 hours relevant training
Work Experience : 3 years of relevant experience
Competency : * Knowledgeable in patient preparation, planning, and
* Knowledgeable in patient preparation, planning, and treatment in radiation therapy
* Knowledgeable in radiationsafety procedures of equipment used in the facility
* Able to perform quality assurance check of the equipment used
* Six (6) months training in conventional radiotherapyprocedures which shall cover
treatment planning; dosecalculations; localization and simulation; and quality assurance
of brackytherapy equipment, including treatmentplanning of system, under close
supervision by a medicalphysicist; afterwhich certification of completion of training
and experience is issued by the medical institution is anadvantage
* Classroom training that includes radiationphysics, radiation dosimetry,
radiation protection, radiationbiology, and nuclear regulations and licensing is
an advantage
* Units earned in Physics of Radiotherapy andPractical Attachments in Radiotherapy
in the Mastersdegree program in Medical Physics or equivalent is
an advantage
